I can’t think of anything other than the engine air filter, (deodorant-type) cabin air filter, wiper inserts, and tire valve caps to get. Any suggestions? I no longer do DIY oil changes.

Does the gen4 have a paper HV battery cooling filter? You're at the first 5y engine & inverter coolant changes, so you could buy for those if you haven't done them already. You don't have to do it right away, but the 6-9y/60k-90k transaxle fluid change is getting close. That's about all I've got. Way too early to have shocks & struts on hand. You could see what your last service said your brakes looked like and pre-buy if you're going to need them done in the next year or two. The dealership will almost certainly charge full MSRP for any of this stuff, so you might save some money if you bring the parts/supplies with you and only pay for labor.

For what it's worth, the parts for a complete brake job for a gen5(pads, rotors, shims & clips - front & rear) come to just over $375 during this year's sale. I assume a gen4 would be about the same. MSRP(dealership) total is $725.

@Hammersmith, I ordered from Premier Toyota you suggested.

Genuine Toyota Parts and Accessories: Official Online Store of Premier Toyota

Threw in the engine air filter, Japan-made charcoal (deodorant-type) cabin air filter, and left and right wiper inserts.

The shopping cart was about $3 short to qualify for free shipping. So, I threw in a Pacific PVC25-type TPMS tire valve cap (part no. 90942-05039, smaller cap with a rubber bushing and more threads) and a Pacific CL-type non-TPMS tire valve cap (part no. 90942-05035, larger cap with a rubber bushing and fewer threads, not that either cap wouldn’t work on TPMS or lack of it). That qualified for free shipping, and the whole order came out to be $57.33.

Here are the pictures of the OEM Toyota tire valve caps made in Japan by Pacific Industrial Co., Ltd.

The larger standard one on the left is for non-TMPS valves, such as OEM Toyota spare tires. It is of CL type and has part number 90942-05035 (Japan-packaged in bags of ten). It has fewer threads, is larger in size, and has a large rubber bushing as the top inner component. It is more expensive than the newer, smaller one on the right because it is larger, made with more material.

The smaller, newer, nonstandard (not listed in worldwide tire valve standards) tire valve cap on the right has now become a de facto standard tire valve cap for all TPMS valves and is copied by other companies. It is of PVC25 type. It is smaller, has more threads, and its rubber bushing is below an inner protruding cylinder with a lip. The part number is 90942-05039 (Japan packaged in bags of ten) or 90942-A5002 (US packaged in bags of ten), both Japan-made.

Some mentioned in this thread that they have trouble putting on the new small nonstandard PVC25 type on the right made for TPMS tire valves and prefer the standard large CL type on the left that comes with regular tire valves. They should both work for any kind of tire valve. The newer, smaller one on the right is probably for better aesthetics than anything else.

I replaced the OEM plastic ones with better looking metal ones never knew the OEM ones were a thing.

I'd avoid metal caps: if they corrode they can get stuck on the valve stem.

With a little moisture, two dissimilar metals in contact with each other can lead to galvanic corrosion.

If you want to go with OEM, high-quality tire valve caps and prefer larger, standard ones, order 90942-05035, or if you prefer the newer, smaller tire valve caps that come as de facto standard with TPMS sensors, order 90942-05039 (or equivalently 90942-A5002, which is the same part).

If you go aftermarket, get a plastic tire valve cap with a rubber bushing inside, known as the VC3 type in the US, CL type in Japan, V9.04.3 type in Europe, and I02 type internationally.

See the cross-reference on page 23 in the PDF product guide found on this webpage:

Here are the tire valve caps in the Xtra Seal PDF catalog, the largest aftermarket tire products company. For metal tire valve caps, it says do not use with TPMS valves. Only plastic caps or chromed plastic caps are allowed to be used with TPMS valves. The ones with the rubber bushing are TRA (The Tire and Rim Association (US)) type VC3 according to Pacific, but Xtra Seal lists all as VC8, which doesn’t have a rubber bushing according to Pacific.

This is their TPMS sensor PDF catalog.

It looks like those don’t have a rubber bushing/seal inside though.

Slime recommends these ugly long ones for TPMS valves, which come with a rubber bushing/seal inside.

If I go aftermarket, I would go with the Xtra Seal caps with a rubber bushing inside or get some Chinese ones with a rubber bushing inside from Amazon.

In any case, do not use any metal ones with TPMS valves.

I own three cars with a TPMS and have driven a half dozen on the job - including my current 'Jeeplet' (a small car cosplaying as a jeep.)
My 2023 GMC truck has just the plain old black caps.

Somehow I've managed to avoid all of the 'valvestem cap' drama except with my 2 work-Priuses which DID have a TMPS but also came with green valvestem caps instead of the traditional black ones.
I spent the 2 bucks to replace them with black ones, not because they protect the valves any better than the green ones, but rather because I did not want people to believe that I was one of the fools that would pay people to but N100 in my tyres when N78 is......'free as air.'
Neither of my two G3 'work' Priuses came with gasketed caps and I never encountered a TPMS issue in the nearly 200,000 miles I logged in them.

    I checked just now.
My Jeeplet's valvestem caps are not equipped with a bushing/seal/gasket/etc... either.
They haven't been since they.....um.....'rolled' out of the factory in 2020.

    Is this all something new?
