    • How many died?
    • How many days in the hospital?
    • How do you separate vaccine side effects from those who got COVID anyway?
I too have kept my COVID vaccinations current and it turns out, caught COVID age 72. It was a mild set of cold symptoms. By the time I took the COVID screening test, it was too late for anti-viral meds. So a week of mild cold symptoms and done. My long term COVID symptom is posting what happened to me.

A sample set of one is not large enough so this is what Google shared:

The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) publishes ongoing research on COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness, with recent studies (October 2025) showing the updated 2024-2025 vaccines significantly reduced severe outcomes like emergency department visits, hospitalizations, and deaths in U.S. veterans, demonstrating continued effectiveness against severe disease across different age groups and health conditions. Another recent NEJM article provides a broad review of COVID-19, RSV, and flu vaccines, confirming their efficacy and safety.

Key Findings from Recent NEJM Articles (2025):
    • 2024-2025 Vaccine Effectiveness: A study published in October 2025 found the latest COVID-19 vaccine was associated with lower risks of severe outcomes, with effectiveness estimates around 29% for ED visits, 39% for hospitalizations, and 64% for deaths over 6 months in veterans.
    • Broad Review: An October 2025 systematic review confirmed the overall effectiveness and safety of U.S.-licensed COVID-19 vaccines, along with RSV and flu vaccines.
How NEJM Reports on Vaccine Effectiveness:
    • Real-World Data: Studies often use large national cohorts (like U.S. veterans) to assess real-world effectiveness against hospitalization, severe illness, and death.
    • Subgroup Analysis: They examine effectiveness across different demographics (age, co-existing conditions) to understand broad protection.
    • Meta-Analyses: NEJM publishes comprehensive reviews that synthesize data from numerous studies.
To find the latest research, search the NEJM website directly for terms like "COVID vaccine effectiveness" or look for articles on vaccine efficacy and safety.

So a posting by an anonymous (troll-bot?) about a vaccine seriously promoted by the sociopath in Chief should take precedence over the New England Journal of Medicine?

My answer is "Hail NO!" and sharing my COVID experience. I took the adult flu shot too. Public service:

Is this an end to the "I am not going to shut up about the real facts" promise? Or does it mean all the "real facts" you have, have already been presented here?

If the vaxxed "...family, friends neighbors and co-workers. Everyone caught the bug...up to 5 times" sample included no deaths and few hospital days, that would be evidence that the vaxx was indeed successful in reducing deaths and hospitalizations ...

... if the sample size was large enough.

"I must have missed that too." Quite so. Despite risks to animals in food chain and despite available safer alternatives, lead is still a 'sporting element'.

(It seems you scrambled the attribution.)

The lead shot ban is not universal in the U.S. Federally, it was banned for waterfowl hunting in 1991. California banned all lead hunting ammunition, effective 2019. Elsewhere, lead is banned only piecemeal.

Bans on lead fishing gear also appear to be piecemeal.

    Let freedom ring!

I hunt and fish very little.
As it turns out we have grocery stores where I live.

Since the 2008–2016 United States ammunition shortage - Wikipedia I have used Pb for reloading, and I developed the ability to cast my own boolits.
I use fishing weights for things like line launchers, etc.
One can, and I will use Cu for some ammo loads....

    HOWEVER (comma!!!)
It's suboptimal for personal defense (handgun) reloading which is a non-trivial portion of the REAL motive behind Pb drama... ;)
The range that I practice at harvests Pb and Cu-Zn alloys fairly assiduously, and I make my humble living in telecommunications - which means that I have access more Pb.

Since I'm 'Covid' years old I also have the ability to make my own primers - but the prices for ammo and the various components have plummeted in the years since then.

Always wondered that about the range I went to here, before ammo priced me out of the game around covid: when you have only theoretical berm and bullet retention at a range (ours had an 8' berm, but 50 yds away -- some fired ammo, esp w/ beginners... will go right over the top. But behind's a 4000-ft mountain w/ a ban on hiking well to both sides... so shrugs have been the standard since who knows when.

So when the range is shut down to do the usual Pb collections... how much lead, obviously leaching salts and poisoning the ground on a range known for regular rainfall, was missed for decades? No idea... and because my County makes do with scraps Honolulu Cty doesn't steal from our taxpayers... a snowflake's chance in Hell there'll be a survey done about it (n)

Found gnarled FMJ rifle bullets deep in the valleys here, hiking as a kid (probably poachers... who weren't averse to setting buckshot tripwires to protect their herb, back before mil-grade FLIR)... so who knows how much lead's out there.

So...If you don't die or get hospitalized with major complications...the shots worked?

    Now that's critical thinking...:ROFLMAO:

It would be hard to say yes or no from the example of one person or a small number of people.

But yeah, if the vaccines are administered to a lot of people, and so many fewer of those people get severe or fatal cases that the hospitals can return the refrigerated morgue trucks to wherever they were rented from, that's a pretty good sign.
