Hello fellow PHEV owners! Just wondering if you’ve noticed or found the charge history in kWh to be inaccurate in the Toyota app. In my most recent charges, the app indicated it only took 8.1kwh and 9.27 kWh respectively, but I have a way of calculating the energy consumption with our electricity provider.

As an example, I only charge the vehicle overnight from 9pm to 7am and according to our elec provider, it indicated every hour to consume 1.64 kWh (assuming 120v x 10amp =1,240wh) with 400wh other household elec use. At 1.24kwh x 8.5hrs charged, should equal to 10.54kwh total consumption but app indicated only 9.27kwh used.

Appreciate any insights you guys can provide. Cheers!

I don't keep track of the kilowatts used in my charging, bur I will say that it appears that charging at 120v rather than 240v leads to more energy loss during charging. I use the reduced rate charging period as well, so the 8 hours of time (11 pm to 7 am) is not enough for a full charge at 120v.. Setting the charge rate at 8 amps at 240v takes about 6 hours. The factory plug will accommodate 240v with an adapter, as many here have pointed out.
