    Every 1100 miles it's burning 1 quart.
Using Synth blend 5w30 quaker state.
Change oil every 2500 miles but top it off every 1000 miles. Since it burns oil I am getting p0420 ~2 times every oil change.

    Gives 42mpg.
Changed pcv, spark plug, vc gasket.

Should I change oil ? Maybe to full synthetic ? Or should I go for 10w30 ?
Any suggestions from senior members here ?

A week or so ago I turned 200,000 laps on an '05 G2. I go with a combination of stuff. 1-qt Lucas, 1-qt Rislone, 1-qt HyperLube and 1-qt premium on-sale 0-20 synthetic. I change every 3-4,000 laps, using a premium filter, usually Wix or Purolator.

Do you normally start putting additives on an original stock motor with 175k miles?

0W-20 full synthetic is slightly better MPG than the thicker stuff they recommend...
