Looking for someone whos taken a window out of the back door

    I have a dent in by back door. $3,000 to fix it. Went to a wrecking yard and got one that matches perfect for $86. Took about 3 minutes to get it off.

    When I got home, i realized mine has tinted windows and the "new" door doesn't. I want to take my window out and put it in the new door.

    Looking for someone who's done it before and can tell me how hard it is.

    I've seen videos of cars not Prius and some you can grab and pull up while others are a pain.

    How is it for a 2007 Prius?

    P.S. It was a perfect door and I was holding one side the other being held by the big bundle of wires. The guy helping me unplugged the connector and the door dropped. Put a little dent and chipped off some paint (about the size of a nickel). Oh well, it's a lot better then what I have.

    I spent lots of time studying the art of windshield replacement on tik-tok... If you're willing to spend lots on all the right tools you could probably do it, but seems to me you'd be better off learning how to install window tint... Tools are less expensive for that and probably less expensive damage if your screw up.

    No man removing a rear door glasses 10 mm wrench and v pry tool for door panel . I could try and make a video tomorrow that ought to be funny but. Basically some plastic plugs you pull out of sheet metal window at least half down see hold bolts line up W holes you opened remove gold bolts. You are now disconnected from the regulator. I probably forgot to mention you pry that rubber strip off the outside top of the door. Now the glass will pull up your angle it a little and pull it right up out of the SLot you just opened by removing wiper gasket on door . Now reverse..

    You really can't screw it up that of anything that I can think of honestly. Take a hammer and beat on the door and do Oblivion but that would be no reason for that

    Can you please make a new year's resolution to communicate to people on PriusChat in a coherent way? It's truly insane how many times you post where what you post makes no sense at all.

    I support your desire to help people on here, but things are going from bad to worse with you and you have lots of knowledge and need make sure what you post is more than gibberish. This is really important! Can you please tell us how we can help you do that?
