I think the tie rods on my 2003 Prius need to be replaced.
Is it very different to replace than a Second Gen Prius?
Can I use the same videos?

I would think for the steering ends yes . I believe your car's manualvtack with motor assist in car . But non that matters . Getting rack and rod ends off is same for all racked cars pretty much. I take them off together the inner rack end and the outer tie rod end. That way I can measure the systems make up the exact measurements and I stall and be centered no setting toe.

I ordered a kit which has upper and lower tie rods as well as ball joints. Has the bolts as well. Any good videos you recommend as far as how to replace them? Never did them although I know you need to mark positions so you don't need to get an alignment or at least less of a priority.

Oh measure the joint total length make that up with the two pieces screw into assembly it's very simple do not forget to slide on new boot before assembling. Rack stays in car .

Turns out that it was NOT the tie rod but actually one of the front tires. Replaced them and the shaking went away. I guess a bad hole in my education. I need to Ttink bad tired before tie rod or ball joint.
