About 3 months ago my brakes would make a lot of noise when braking or stopped with foot on brake pedal. The noise sounded al.ost mechanical so took to mechanic and they greased the slides. Did absolutely nothing so took to dealer. They started to check things out and contacted me about weird and low voltage readings so needed to replace battery which they did. I never got any abs light or error codes which is strange. Later on that day they called me back and said I needed a new accumilator at a cost of $3500.00. Since located on fire wall labor was 8hrs plus parts. I declined at this point to get it fixed and they said i will still have brakes even with lights or codes. My question is it has been about 6 weeks and it has not made a single noise since and no lights or codes so could the weak or bad battery been the cause of the noises.? Would like to hear anyone's thoughts and sorry for the long post. Thanks for your time.
