    Nokian is a supreme brand.

The Vredesteins replaced a set of Nokian WrG4s on our Prius. The Nokians had some age on them, probably six years, and they had become very stiff, producing a punishing ride.
The best Nokians I ever had were the Hakka Qs. They were dedicated winter tires that were outstanding in snow. We had a set of Hakka RSVs on our Gen 1 Prius, and they were pretty good too, but not as good as the Qs.
We also had an earlier all-weather Nokian tire, the NRW (IIRC). A friend had them too, and he actually tried to drive on them in the summer and killed them. They were better than other all-season tires from the period but paled in comparison to the Qs.

Nokian made rubber boots and then some tires - before they entered and died at mobile phones.

Theybare the absolute premium brand for studded tires - Hakkapelitta * - but now they finally also make superb summer tires available and adapted to Nordic summer climates (rainy) up here.

It’s just a fun history; Nokian Tyres - Wikipedia

My grandfather was a Finnish emigre, and my grandmother was the daughter of Finnish immigrants. So I'm a Nokian fan just on ethnic grounds. I have to say, though, that the G4s disappointed me.

I have a pair of Nokian's rubber mittens somewhere. They're great for bicycle riding in bitter cold. They don't provide a lot of dexterity, though.
