The car is a clean title 2 owner 2015 Prius 4 with 290k but in fair to good condition overall. It had the catalytic converter replaced by Toyota (owner has receipt) and has been on PNO since 2023 and only driven around the block weekly to keep the batteries alive. I test drove it and runs very good and strong and no CEL or warning lights on dash but I did notice the front suspension was “thumping” going over bumps. When I inspected the front suspension, I verified the outer tie rods and sway bar links on both sides were done for and moveable with my bare hands. Other than that, it is missing the rear spare tire cover but interior is clean and no rips.

I went on rock auto and confirmed the prices for R/L inner and outer tie rods, R/L sway bar end links, Front Wagner brake pads, x4 NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs (ILKAR7B11). It all came out to $186 shipped, so about $3700 with the apparent repairs needed done and ready to go.

I know some may mention about the Head Gasket issue but upon doing a bit more research, the 2015 was not prone to the HG issues as the earlier 2010/2011 models due to a refined 2ZR-FXE with cooling and combustion improvements as well as improved HG design/material to help seal better. I know it also depends on the maintenance and care given to the vehicle and based on my initial drive, it doesn’t seem to have anything serious sticking out.

This would be my 1st 3rd gen and really wanted a 14 or 15 but here in SoCal, they are all going for ridiculous amount of $ and most are salvage and or have hybrid battery or HG issues and they still want $3500-$4500 for them with 200k-300k miles.

Anywho, what do you all think? All thoughts, comments welcome and appreciated.

Sorry, I seem to have posted this in the PRIUS C section rather than 2010-2015 PRIUS , can a moderator move it to 2010-2015 Prius forum?
