Indiana won 27 to 21. Saludos. Betting line spread was 7.5 points over Miami, so some money goes to loser backers. As such this was not a blowout or a crush. But a W is a W.
Lots of Oregon fans are down on Mario after his leaving the Ducks. Did not pay attention to the game as I was busy and really did not care but if I had to root it would have been Hoosiers. Happy with Ducks new coach, Mr. Dan kris
Can't say it wasn't an exiting game. Of course, even this Hoosier born 'Bama fan was pretty happy about the outcome, but then.....I would have happily and enthusiastically rooted for the Tigers against Miami. 7 more months and it starts anew......
NIL and portals are certainly disruptive....and colleges have proven over time to be just as foolish as their students are when it comes to managing a nearly infinite cash supply. Still, nobody has managed to repeal the Law of Unintended consequences, and some GOOD things also happen. The talent pool is flattening out so that an "Indiana" 16-0 season should not be all that unexpected. I live in a part of the country where football stadiums are regularly filled to their 100,000+ official seating capacities and traffic and shopping patterns are altered for hours on some Saturdays - MOSTLY by people who never went to the school whose flags, license plates, and other swag they greedily over pay for! Or ANY school at all, sometimes.... No.... Contrary to popular myth, football is NOT a religion in the South. Only religion is religion in the South. I, for one, am pretty happy to see the FANaticism re-assert itself in places like the PNW and even (*gasp!*) Michigan and Ohio. We just completed a 12 seed sorta-championship series where the semifinals only featured one SEC team. I'm GOOD with that. There's 256+ 'DIV-I' teams. Lots and lots of scholarships.......
