Yesterday my 2015 Toyota Prius had check engine light on and with one scanner I saw 7E8 and another scanner picked up P261B I live in Los Angeles with 75-80 degrees temp. My coolant is fine and after resetting they check engine light went away and I drove yesterday afternoon fine. What do you think?

I think you need to post this in the Gen. 3 (not 4) forum. Somehow it turned up in my Gen. 1 feed.

7E8 isn't a DTC, it's the id of which ECU in the car is reporting the trouble code. There should also have been a DTC shown with that. The P261B you saw more easily on the other tool would be my guess.

That trouble code suggests the engine water pump could be on the way out.
