Newbie here from TN. Currently seriously considering purchasing a 2026 LE with only 778 miles on it. Got to get some posts before I can post links.

Are there any deals on new ones?
How much do they knock off for 800 miles?

The Chevy dealer is asking $27,798.+ $599. doc fee + $2033. sales tax + $174.DMV fees and city fees + $100. county hybrid fee = ~$30,604. cash, no finance. We have a high sales tax in TN, the doc, aka, stealership fee is also taxable, and in 2024 they started adding a $200. EV fee and a $100. hybrid fee to help add more charging stations. I have not seen any in TN.
These are the options it came with:
    All Weather Floor Liners/Cargo Liner
    First Aid Kit
    Quick Charge Cable
    Emergency Assistance Kit
    Body Side Molding
    Door Edge Guards
    Rear Bumper Applique
    Mudguards
    Premium Paint-Red
Front and Rear Parking Assist w/ Automatic Braking

This is the base model LE so it comes with cloth seats, a manual adjust driver's seat, and the screen sticking out of the dash Not liking those.

However, better mileage and less stuff to go wrong. :)

I'm not sure what you mean about the screen. The one in front of the driver? I think they're all the same.
The infotainment screen also sticks out, same footprint, but it's larger-fills up the space.

I had a recent look at BMW and Audi at a car show. They had panoramic infotainment screens. :)

I put on some nice pleather seat covers. Turned out well.

It's the infotainment screen I was referring to. I like the way the Camry has it integrated into the dash, but I could get use to the Prius screen. My daughter's Mazda CX-30's screen sticks up.

I know what you mean. I don't think it gets in the way. Plus, you could conceivably store something in front of it. :). I don't but at least one person here does, I think @Paul Gregory. Gloves maybe. I just took a pic from my viewpoint in the driver's seat:

    Quick thoughts:
    1. $28400 (before taxes/fees/etc) seems pretty good with only 800 miles on it, considering you're also getting all-weather floor/cargo liners, body molding, door guards, mud guards, etc.
    2. "Quick Charge Cable" is that for Apple Carplay/Android?
    3. Guessing you're not a tall senior citizen. I am, I have an LE FWD (HEV only), got it for my daughter so I won't be the primary daily user (I'm sort of in a purchasing agent/upfitter facility role ;)). A 5Gen Prius just wouldn't work for me strictly for ergonomics reasons - driving it is mostly fine for me - except a bit hard to adjust steering wheel to be able to see all of the instrument display w/o my knees interferring with the console/steering wheel. But getting into/out of it is a killer for me due to extreme low roofline and general low ground clearance of a very fuel efficient car.

Yes, a good price but the Carfax report seems a bit sketchy. (see link). 2026 Toyota Prius Athens The dealership posted it on Facebook and it now has 1100 miles on it. Staff driving it? I am close to 6' tall and a senior with a bad back. I test drove a Prius and a Camry at my local Toyota dealer last week and although I like the shape of the Prius better the Camry is easier getting in and out of, and to me has more driver room, and the dash is laid out better.
Yes, the Camry is heavier, a bit more expensive, less cargo space, and less fuel economy .https://www.edmunds.com/car-comparisons/toyota-camry-vs-toyota-prius/ At my age, height, and back comfort is the winner.

IMHO; your pretty much paying full price and new car sales are very slow. You should check your Costco or BJ membership for buying new.
I would at least buy from a Toyota dealership. Around here their certified used cars comes with a 7 year 100K mile power train warranty. Better than the factory 5 year 60K mile warranty.
Lastly; I would prioritize comfort over a few mpgs. Is those few extra mpgs really going to make up for those lower back pains from a long trip?? I'm six feet tall and sometimes have to use the grab handle to get in; if my back is hurting. The Camry is assembled here in the states, so no tariffs - more bargaining room and invoice prices are the same. BTW: 5 year cost of maintenance is lower, so it offset the gas savings. Your gas prices are much lower than here, so your breakeven point is 2x-4x longer than mine, depending on how much you drive.

Thanks for the advice guys. This will probably be my last post here since I'm leaning more and more towards the Camry. Several of the Toyota dealers in my area are discounting 2026 Camrys. Here's an example of a SE: https://www.foxtoyotaclinton.com/auto/new-2026-toyota-camry-clinton-tn/115850465/ With taxes, the stealership $799.doc fee, and DMV fees the cash price goes from $31783. to $35092. I am a BJ's member so I will check them out.
