I'm a new US-based owner of a Thinkcar ThinkDiag 2 OBDII diagnostic tool. I bought it from Amazon.

I managed to get the matching ThinkDiag+ software app installed on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 tablet running Android 14, but doing this was a stretch.

It appears that Google's Android team doesn't want apps of this type installed on their Android tablets. Google Play Store reports that there were no ThinkDiag+ apps suitable for my Tab A8 tablet. However, I was able to download and install the app from ThinkcarUS's website.

I think the Android-savvy folks call downloading Android apps from other than Google's official store "sideloading" of an app.

After a lot of twiddling and reading on the internet I was able to use this app and the ThinkDiag2 OBDII interface to read codes from my 2010 Prius, but it wasn't easy. The ThinkDiag+ app bears the distinct traits of one that has been written in Asia by non-English speakers. The first indicator was the rolling tumblers of an old mechanical slot machine spinning endlessly as the tool interrogates my vehicle for its VIN number.

Does anyone know if there is a ThinkDiag+ internet users group or a detailed users manual for this app written in English?
