    Hi y'all,

My Prius 2008 was extremely low on engine oil yesterday, and I took it to Walmart to have oil change. Then on the way home it was making rattling, knocking sounds from the engine, and engine light came on for P0011 Replace oil control valve (OCV) recommended part VVT solenoid. I took it to a mechanic and he said the engine needs to be replaced, and on the way home it died completely now. I'm not able to put it on D mode anymore, that's what I meant. also, battery seems be gone as well as I couldn't roll up my window. At this point, is it worth repairing anything since the costs starts at $3500 he told me. Should I just get a new car? Please let me know your recommendations.
