    I agree with you. My cell is totally off when driving. Even the hands-free, never touch the phone thing is too much distraction.

    And, due to "pre-loading" with dogs, kids and "stuff," plus other distractions, I often totally forget to bring the phone. It's blissful.

    I can use CarPlay for maps if I need them, without other distractions

    Our rigs have built-in navigation, which operates via voice control. luckily, it does not respond to the passenger's woofs.

    I prefer Google through Android Auto over Subaru's TomTom nav, for it shows upcoming cross street names. It also works with voice if that is your thing.
