A different option would be the AWD Camry. It has low ground clearance but the battery is in the cabin area.

Not to stir the pot, but just for the record my dad traded in the gen 5 Prius for a new Ford Maverick hybrid AWD. I have no idea. Here's how the conversation went before he bought the Gen 5.

    Him: "gen 5"
Me: I don't know anything about them
Him: I heard they messed up and tried to make it appeal to too many people
Me: Yeah I heard bad things too, why on earth would you want to buy one?
    Him: I'm gonna buy one
Me: What? No. Buy a gen 2

Do they still make the Gen 2?

The Ford Maverick pickup truck is a little different vehicle from the Prius compact hatchback.
