Had to take the car into the dealership under warranty as while parked over the weekend the RCD malfunctioned. Car indicated an error showing the Driving assist information indicator and the RCD in orange on the dash with a "System malfunction contact your dealership" error and an overlay on the infotainment system camera display saying "Camera detection error"

All the cameras (Both Front, Both Rear, Left and Right side) camera's all display an image, they replaced the rear camera today and the RCD error and system malfunction error went away but the Driving assist information indicator stays lit at all times (It used to turn off a couple seconds after the car started).

Dealership is claiming this is normal and it's supposed to be on at all times, even the manual states it's supposed to turn off after a couple seconds otherwise it indicates there may be an error.

    2023 Prius - Canada - Ltd. - Non-Prime

For greater clarity I'm talking about the Driving assist information indicator on the left side of the dash just under and to the right of the "READY". All safety features are enabled on the controls so it's not caused by a feature being turned off (such as BSM, RCTA, etc)

Can someone confirm I'm not crazy and that it shouldn't be lit at all times?

    Thanks

Take it to a different dealership; they sound like clowns and report that franchise to Toyota Canada.
Your new car warranty may be claimed at any authorized Toyota dealership. Your not limited to the dealership you bought the car from.

Yeah I was going to do so, just wanted a sanity check before going somewhere else as usually there would be another error with that light.

Nothing comes up via obd port, but service menu shows the driver side mirror camera misaligned in one frame (shows 3 views from the left side, rear left frame looks tilted as the upper image is obscured by some sort of trim, lens may have shifted inside the assembly as the camera is not damaged or out of place on the mirror)

I told the dealership the above too but was ignored... so yeah new dealership
