Canada's Weatheradio being decommissioned.

There's a Midland S.A.M.E. receiver in my kitchen. It can only alert me when I'm home.

I seem to remember a time there was talk of incorporating the tech in cars, but that seems to have gone nowhere.

And there's the cell broadcast / WEA stuff, that was proposed and standardized and then somehow it seems the providers have found ways to mess it up.

It's almost enough to make me think there are people making these decisions who are being lobbied by the weather (or something else) that's trying to kill me.

 

People usually get the government they deserve.
