    Hi all,
    Salam & Greetings,
This is Japan Toyota Prius 2019 A Touring we imported to Bangladesh.

No idea what the previous owner did with brake oil.

However, I received in 2023 August when it was 34K KM. Now 53K KM so I have driven it 19K KM in my country Bangladesh.

    So my questions are -
*Should i replace the brake oil?
    * Should not the Prius dashboard show a dialogue like i should perform oil maintenance or something before i perform any brake oil change? (I am curious to know)
    * I have a Maintenance / warranty catalogue where i did not find any brake oil change schedule.

DO you have any official info like when we should replace brake oil etc?

Many thanks to all in advance :)

In North America, Toyota USA says nothing about changing brake fluid, however Toyota Canada recommends to change every 3 years or 48k kilometers, whichever comes first. I've been roughly following the Toyota Canada schedule by years (on our low-miles Gen 3 Prius, model year 2010), except had a lapse and left it for 6 years the last time; it seemed to not matter.

I've used the non-Techstream method. There's a related link in my signature, just describing my strategy and experience (on a phone turn it landscape to see signatures). Attached is an excerpt from the Gen 4 Repair Manual

When buying any used vehicle with no or little record of maintenance, I think it's smart to just replace all fluids as soon as you are able...starting with the engine oil, then transmission, then coolant, then brake fluid. (Also replace all filters....engine, cabin, and hybrid fan.)

Then you have a clean slate for future maintenance with no guessing.

That's what I usually do with any used car I purchase; but they are usually broken. I get it running first, then determine if it's a keeper or "beater" - not worth fixing.

Smart Biomed!! We have a new sign on a local telephone pole near my house, "WANTED Toyota (running or non-running) CASH PAID"

Sounds like we have a Toyota flipper here! Folks can make serious money doing this these days!!
