I went with Douglas Touring as 215/70/r15 and it raised the car up where I don't worry about scraping anymore.

But I'm struggling to find the optimal tire pressure for the smoothest, most quiet ride. All I care about is ride quality.

Anybody else running these tires or this size, and if so, what tire pressure do you prefer to keep the rattles down inside the car and reduce road noise?

That's a 27 inch OD tire so yer up 30 tp 40mm. Douglas is generally cheap service station junk so not sure how much of a ride quality and quiet you're going to get. Price must a been factor .
