I've just replaced the impeller in the two that I had that are now blown up and gone but the pumps are still here laying on the ground not sure what the a is about I don't know if I really care. It's a MAG drive type pump so unless something burns up in the housing usually all that's happened is the skin is peeling off the impeller you get a new impeller strip that one whatever and then it'll spin again or a new one will spin in its place the housing usually doesn't get messed up it's the impeller so replace of it what you'd like I guess we're just trying to keep the water moving that's all not too much heavy science about it.

No, but it’s the option I’ll likely go with, once we’re “close” to 100k miles. Currently at 104k kms, may never get there.

So I bought the Aisin WPT 190. It's been running since July last year but I got a code P261C and I thought it was the inverter water pump but folks here tells me that it's the engine water pump.

I have to really confirm which one it is. Hopefully it's the inverter because from all my research the WPT 190 is a solid pump.

I'll report back with my findings.

The code is for the engine water pump circuit.

A problem with the circuit isn't necessarily in the pump. If there's a problem after putting a brand-new pump in, then the problem with the circuit probably isn't in the pump.

What was the reason for replacing the pump in July last year?
