I got my Prius a few years a go and thought it was cool (real cool!!) that when I walk up to the car, the doors unlock, then I get in and push the button and drive off. I didn't know there was any other way. A mechanic was going to do a test on my car and asked for the fob. He stuck it in the dash. I realize this is a personal choice, no right or wrong answer. I was wondering, how many people do that each time? Do you let the FOB detect you next to the car and unlock or do you actually get the fob out and push the button, then after getting in the car, put it in the dash? ebm
I pretty much leave it in my pocket all the time... I do DoorDash and UberEats so I'm in and out of the car a lot. Being able to lock/unlock the doors without digging for the remote every time is a real timesaver.
My father probably hasn't been out of the car in about 5 years I live in a wonderful place where car locking and things like that are unnecessary when I go to the ig bad cities . I take a vehicle I really don't care about . So if something happens no serious love lost call someone for a ride.
