The Haus of Saud has been in the fight since the 1980s.
20 percent of the world's oil goes through Hormuz - but the NAG is a cul-de-sac.

Anybody remember the Rock-n-Roll Houthi Coup?
    Bab al-Mandab?

    No?
    That's OK.
Our last Administration (whoever was running it) didn't either.

The Red Sea is NOT a cul-de-sac!
The Bab al-Mandab Strait (gate of tears or gate of grief) handles roughly 30% of world shipping.
The Houthis have declared their intent to escalate to a full blockade, having previously engaged in escalating missile and drone attacks on vessels since October 2023 (when we were less capably led!)

This is why you do not want a nuclear armed Iran.

Meanwhile 3500 ships and their crew of 20K are trapped in the Persian Gulf and running out of food and water...

    Only if they're idiots.
Ships at anchor have fresh water bunkerage and desal plants.
They also have ports in the NAG.
    Airports too.
Heck....there might even be a few whole countries up there.

Panic porn for people who don't get out very much....

here're a couple of ( sounds like ) for those that ever notice any of them. biscuit? My cat, DudleydoRight used to get called sign Dare_he_is when Hootie and the blowfish was being played on what ever media was being listened to at that time, before Houthi was part of the everyday vocabulary.

They figure that if others die, more would be left for their selfish wants.

Why would we want a new forum to discuss how the US went from the leader of the free world, to the country that lost WW3 and became a shadow of its former self forcing US states to join up to create smaller nations all because of a pedophile who started a cult of death and stupidity?

You really that dumb? 3500 ships most of which are two and three football fields long are all just going to head into the port at the same time to go grocery shopping and not load their ship full of cargo because there's no way out? You think the ports are going to allow that to happen?

But maybe they could use their dingy? Because a crew of 20 that's out of food and water wouldn't have any problem putting all their supplies in a dingy right?

Seems like you have the same non-existent level of intelligence as Trump when it comes to the shipping industry, not to mention how to plan for the consequences of starting a war that can't be won against a country that is as big as the western part of North America from Canada to San Diego and all the way east of New Mexico and Colorado?

PS: Ocean-going vessels, including oil tankers, aren't for large numbers of people. They carry their fresh water in dedicated tanks (called "potable water tanks" or "fresh water tanks"). For a typical voyage, this is simply stocked before departure, just like food provisions. Of course if you're a grifter and your fearless leader just scuttled the global economy for years to come, you just pretend like nothing is his fault, right? That will solve everything right?
