got this as a gift after mentioning having to replace mine. Wondering if anyone would tell me if they would risk it. Shipped from east coast to the Midwest with no covers on the inlets.. makes me a little weary but this would be a first time for me, wondering if anyone has and recommendations. Also getting conflicting information about what it came out of. I know basically nothing to go on.
The newer replacements could have the issue it's not built in I saw a Lexus es 300 with the issue actually . Almost the same unit mounted on the fender well
Thanks for the reply. My understanding is the revised part doesn’t not have the defect that resulted in Toyotas service bulletin. Such as 44500-47140 vs 44500-47141. That could be the difference between the issue with the Lexus or not. The unit that was almost the same could have been the inferior 44500-47140. Please let me know your thoughts on this I am just looking for knowledge on the subject. Thank you
