Be ready for the defacing of the new dollar bill

I believe that was more than a guideline, namely a federal statute, 16 U.S.C § 6804(a)(2), as already discussed in this post. The statute requires use of the photo that won a public contest; for this year, that was a photo taken in Glacier National Park.

A related case, 1:25-CV-04285 was filed in US District Court for the District of Columbia, but I haven't checked its progress lately.

Meanwhile, I was happy to confirm recently that the senior lifetime pass is another one that escaped defacement, at least as of January 20th.
