Prius C 2016 (NHP10) – frame rail dimensions? Trying to save it

    Hi everyone,

    I’m working on my own 2016 Prius C (NHP10L). It took a hit in the front and the frame rails are now… let’s say “not factory spec” (photos attached).

    I brought this car from the US for my wife, so I’m trying to bring it back to life instead of turning it into garage art.

    This is a DIY project, a friend let me use his garage, and I’m doing my best to fix it properly, not just eyeball it and hope for the best.

    Right now I’m stuck because I can’t find proper frame dimensions or measurement points for this car.

    Does anyone happen to have:

    • frame rail measurements

    • reference points

    • or anything from the body repair manual related to dimensions?
    Even a screenshot or partial info would be a huge help.

    I can take more photos or measurements if needed.

    Trying to save this one from the scrap yard

    I've rebuilt a crashed Prius C front end once. There's really not that much up there compared to other Prius designs. Also lots of flexibility with the plastic exterior parts because of the lack of mounts. And I currently don't have a Prius C to take photos of the bent stuff for you.

    Do you feel like you got the gear you're going to need to pull on it figured out? It's a significant amount of force to bend that kind of metal...

    If this were my job I'd just eyeball it and try to bend everything back well enough that you can mount a bumper on it. No need to worry about exact measurements as long as the bolt holes line up and they're near the same length coming out of the frame.

    As in, I'm pretty sure that if you can set up a rig to apply enough force to get it straight enough to mount a new bumper on it all the of the rest of the parts you put on top of that will line up without issue.
