AC not working since purchasing ‘06 with 250k recently. No power to compressor. Has a staticky clicking sound from inside dash. I understand there’s 2 actuators, on blower that selects AC or heat, another changing blend door. Read that failed actuator could affect power to AC compressor. Any similar experience out there? Thanks!

What observation(s), using what instrument(s), are you reporting there?
    Probably an actuator.
Where did you get that understanding? There are three actuators: one selecting source of air for the blower (fresh from outside, or recirculated from inside the cabin), one selecting the outlets (feet vents, face vents, defog vents, or combinations), and one controlling temperature by blending air through the heater core with air passing around it.

Actuator "that selects AC or heat" isn't a thing. The blend door can adjust how cold the A/C air feels, from very cold, to moderate, to downright hot. (When would the car run A/C and then heat the air up again? Well, it does that for defogging, on purpose, and it also can happen if the blend door gets stuck there.)
I haven't read that. Can you point us to the source where you did, so we can check it out?

Have you pulled trouble codes from the HVAC system yet? It's easy to do, scroll down to "Codes from the heat/air conditioning system" on this page:
