Selling my 2004 Toyota Prius with approximately 190,000 miles. The main hybrid battery is failing (warning light on, poor performance), and I’ve chosen not to replace it. Everything else on this car has been conscientiously maintained. This is ideal for a DIY mechanic, hybrid shop, or parts donor. Single‑owner, no‑smoke, no‑pets car.

    VIN JTDKB20U440067255

    Recent maintenance and upgrades:
    • New Michelin Defender tires installed July 2023 (less than 18,500 miles on them; 80k‑mile warranty through the tire vendor)
    • 12V auxiliary battery replaced August 2024
    • Liftgate support struts replaced December 2025
    • HVAC compressor and dryer replaced July 2022
    • Hybrid drive inverter water pump replaced October 2021
    • Routine scheduled service, most recently December 2025 at The Toy Shop (Denver): oil, filter, tire rotation, fluids, and inspection
    • BT35 Bluetooth phone and music interface installed
    • Interior in good condition for its age
    • Happy to provide maintenance records or additional details on request.
    Cosmetic condition:
    • Scrape damage on driver‑side rear wheel well
    • Minor scratches across the body; concentrated scratches on rear passenger door
    • No front bumper lower mesh grille
    • Broken sunglasses holder (included)
    Ownership and history:
    • Only owner since original purchase in May 2004
    • No smoking or pets in the car, ever
    • Both original keys included (key fob batteries likely need replacement)
    • Colorado title in hand, no liens, owned free and clear
    Terms and mechanical condition:
    • Sold as‑is. Car starts and moves under its own power, but runs poorly due to the hybrid battery issue.
    • Recommend only moving it short distances; buyer should plan to tow/flatbed it.
    • Local pickup only in Denver. Buyer is responsible for arranging tow/transport.
    • Cash preferred; may consider Venmo, Zelle, etc., for serious local buyers.
    • Asking $1,800, open to reasonable offers for quick local pickup (no offers under $850, please).
