I had aftermarket wide angle side mirrors on my previous car and really missed them on the Prius. I had GR Corolla owners import JDM mirrors since their left hand mirror (US car driver's side) is wide angle, and wanted to do the same for my Prius.

After a lot of research and placing an order from Amayama, I can confirm that Toyota Part number 87961-47750 is the correct part for the JDM left side mirror with the BSM (blind spot monitoring) light and internal heater. The mirror works perfectly and has a great, wide angle.

Easy installation, just gently pry the mirror to pop it out, and disconnect 2 connectors. Just be aware that a convex driver's side mirror may not be legal in the US. The mirror also does not have the "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" text, so you may want to remind others if they drive your car.

Federal codes require the driver side mirror to be unit magnification.

For the 5th Gen Prius there weren't too many options for a driver's side convex mirror outside AliExpress. The OEM part was around $100 shipped from Amayama, part was around $50, shopping was $30, and tariffs were around $20.

Maybe I'm just cheap and lazy.:p I find that the little sticky wedge or round convex ones work just fine. If your car is equipped with BSM, it becomes a moot point, IMHO. From my experience; most drivers don't even look; or it could just be my silver car. I always have to hit my horn when they go over the line, into my lane. I could even see their BSM lamps lit when they're encroaching.
I've driven rentals equipped with BSM, but never owned a car with that option.
