For the Prime owners out there, do you have your battery remaining set to distance or percentage? I feel like it offers a little more resolution on the remaining battery than showing miles. Just takes some time to learn how far you can go per percent.
HEV guy here, so I can't vote. I do like to see the SOC on the CarPlay screen (via OBD Fusion and a bluetooth obd dongle). There's a lot more activity on mine than yours, I'm sure. You could do the same and look at both! Maybe until you got a feel for it, or lost interest.
