Too bad price isn't one of the main criteria. Too bad they don't have a practical SUV or pickup among the lot.

Both BMW iX3 and Lucid Gravity are SUVs. The cheap-car award went to the $20,000 Nio Firefly, which is not available in the US.

Lucid gravity for three figures out the door? Yeah that's practical. And if it's fully equipped? Out the door for ¼ million.

I’m so glad to have stepped away from TSLA. Not sure how long my EV batteries will last but at age 76, less of a concern each year.

Kill the messenger? Doesn't the model y still rate worldwide as one of the number one selling cars - if in fact not #1 ?
Seems like that's the data that's available for 2023 - '24 &' 25. It beat everything: gas cars, hybrids, and other EVs, with over 4 million total sold. At least it makes one take pause & think, "what do they know that I don't". Well, maybe that's not killing the messenger. Maybe that's a matter of cutting off one's nose to spite the face?
Who knows, Bob - the highest verified cases there ARE people who drove into their mid-100s, like 107-year-old Joe Newman in Florida around 2020, and others who've renewed licenses at 105.
You could be the next record breaker!

yea - despite all of his other liberal ideology, you have to maintain the full-blown Echo chamber no deviation allowed. Even after backing away from Trump somewhat. Funny thing is how those people who were involved in building ww2 German vehicles, even the drugs used in the death camps, people have let go & freely endorsed the products of those issues. But not Musk. sheesh

    Actually FSD (or you can call it Sued) works good enough for me. In practical terms;
    • Dad passed mid 80s
    • Mom passed early 90s
I have no great expectations especially considering the war on medicine, medical care, and retirement. Instead of eating the rich, ‘Soylent Green.’

Since at one time I owned ~284 shares of TSLA stock, I have credible history:
Actually it was buying Twitter that was the first clue. Then there is this fascination with humanoid robots. Robots who can’t buy their own robots or the stuff they make.

When the CEO gets distracted from their ‘bread and butter’ customers, time to part ways. That I still share PriusChat posts with those I disagree with in politics, it wasn’t just one poor choice … like Musk having children by 6 (?) women.

Never met the man, probably never will. Never bought his product/s, probably never will...unless "maybe" if he someday actually comes out with the "New Roadster".

That said...I could care less how many kids he has by how many women...or who he votes for.

I don't Idol worship people...fair weather or foul.

What happened to our meal BTW? No show, no call.

It was going to be a charging stop on a trip to Las Vegas, California, and Arizona. But things changed:
    • Las Vegas videos show it has become a poor value.
    • Paying $1,250/month since the Big Anti-Jesus Bill killed Obamacare premiums for my house keeper
    • No SpaceX test flights since V3 came out and V4 announced

For years, it was obvious that the competition would eventually catch up, and Tesla stock was way overvalued (still is) compared to other car stocks. That said, Tesla will keep making great cars.
