Have been considering another electric after only driving PHEV's for the last ½ dozen years or so. But when we charge, over 90% is at home. Would LOVE to DC QC at home - but is that possible? The unit is programable down to what we'd like - which would be 20kW. see - they haven't made a 20kW charger (built into EVs) since early model Ss. Just one serious downside. Price $9,750.00 ??? Suddenly - charging at only 11kW doesn't seem so egregious. maybe wait for used ones to show up - perhaps Facebook marketplace? .
Even at a 75% discount; that's a lot of gasoline, even before the Iranian war. That would fall under the, I want to do it column - not that it's fiscally sound; since you can be sleeping while the car charging. In a fleet setting, where time is money - that would make sense.
My approach, two EVs with a charging schedule: 2017 BMW i3-REx (28 kWh battery) - charge at 8 A starting about 11:30 AM when peak solar starts 2019 Model 3 (46 kWh battery) - charge at 16 A starting about 10:30 AM an hour before peak solar Both stop at 8:00 PM to limit buying grid power So I wake up about sunrise and do my morning ministrations. Then about 8 AM, take a hot shower or start washing clothes. Then dry them in the afternoon during peak solar. So most of my solar electrons go directly into the end loads and the rest is easy. Two EVs, one running an errand and the other remaining on the charger. Getting home, the other is charged and the solar roof handles the one just returned. Bob Wilson
A 50A level 2 charger (35–50 miles of range per hour) would be a good option at a fraction of the price.

I stumbled across a kickstarter awhile back where the approach was to tap off of your home storage, which would significantly drop cost by not having to convert from AC. It targeted $2000 for the device price. My guess is the market for that is still a number of years away. Getting up to 20kW at home any time of day would be really nice.
Checking around, AFAIK the optional onboard Chargers on the Chevy Equinox EV or Cadillac Lyriq are the only vehicles that can charge at that 20 kW level.... would have to cross fingers the electric water heater, jacuzzi pump & heater, & AC pumps aren't all running at the same time if one of those EVs was also charging.
I know a few that don't DC charge at all. That would be cool if I had a 200A or more mains breaker. But I'm looking for solutions for houses like mine with 50A mains breakers, or even 30A mains at only 120V. At least all EV's can charge at 120V and "15A".
