Good day everyone. Forgive me in advance, but I'll be using a translator as my English is poor. So, my car is a 2003 Prius NHW20. G-Type, JDM. I'm looking for ways to increase power. My Prius can't even burnout with 17-inch wheels (yes, the wheels aren't light, but sorry, there should be enough torque to turn the wheels if you hold the handbrake). 1) Either the Prius's electronics are throttling the torque until you reach X speed, or I don't know. Is it possible to reprogram the hybrid control unit in a Prius, not the engine control unit? 2) Over the course of several months, I must have read 1,000 articles about tuning. Ultimately, I realized that increasing engine power should entail increasing power from the electric motor, since the computer wants the torque to be delivered in certain proportions. I'm desperate and don't know what to do. I literally need to add 20-30 horsepower and also solve the torque issue that's choking me at the start. Please suggest solutions OTHER THAN REPLACING THE CAR. I'm not planning on selling the car because I'm a full-time student and have my final thesis due soon. I don't have the money or time to maintain another car, and this one has served me well for 80,000 km.
I forgot to mention that the "minicon pro" is already on its way to me from Japan (I chose the PRO version, and not the minicon from hybrain, because I can fine-tune the mixture.) I don’t know how it will affect the dynamics, but I hope for the better.
That sounds ambitious. Where will this extra third of the engine's total capacity, or quarter of the total peak system capacity, be coming from?
