Looks like Maui petrol came down a bit, w\ Costco at $4.79 for bathwater. Those EcoBurst Raptors are rapturous

The Wailuku Texaco where I get my 5G-loving midgrade, is actually cheaper now for 89 than 87 -- a showstopping dollar more than Costco for BW, and $5.60 for mid... which is hilarious if true (looked it up on Gargle Marps). Reflects a $0.50 reduction per gallon for 89 vs. 2 wks ago (y)

The fastest way to reduce oil prices:
    • Russia leave Ukraine and promise not to come back
      • Russia returns to making money instead of war expenses
    • Ukraine resumes supporting Russian oil exports
      • Keep the rebuilding funds from Russia and tax the transit oil

Down to $3.35 here in Colorado Springs....been going down for the past week.

Which is good, we all need to save $30 to go visit the newest (and butt-ugliest) Presidential Library in Chicago. $850 Million for that monstrosity? Can Democrats do ANYTHING well? The Obama library is recruiting 100 "volunteers" to work there for nothing but are paying the Chief Executive, Valerie Jarrett, $740,000 a year....how does that make sense? And, YES, you need to show a valid ID to get in and pay your $30.

Wait, your wife pumps her own gas? I'm impressed!

When my wife's car is on empty, she just takes my car and I'm voluntold to just take hers! (And the first place I go is to the gas station because I know that's the only time she lets me drive hers!)

Plan Your Visit | The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute

$30 is the entry fee for the Ronald Reagan library in "summer". It is less at some other times of the year. It is often pretty crowded, either with busloads of school kids or swarms of tourists. Depending on traffic we can usually get there in about an hour. The Nixon museum is closer but we have never been.

The RR museum has some fun stuff. There is an old Air Force one, a fighter jet (don't recall which type), a chunk of the Berlin wall, a reconstruction of the oval office, a nice view in every direction, and traveling exhibitions of various sorts. We saw one on spy craft (complete with a Bulgarian umbrella) and there was another on Mongol culture.

Regarding that 740k, it is not much different than for the RR library's people:

You must understand, in the US "non profit" never applies to executive compensation. Valerie Jarrett was a close friend of the Obama's and a "Senior Advisor", whatever that entails. The 3 guys raking it in at the RR library were all apparently about 3-4 levels down from the top when they worked in Government, assistant secretary of Defense (out of roughly 20), that sort of thing. I bet every one of them was in the room with the man at some point, and they probably didn't get to say much while there.

Amazing, astounding hypocrisy given who you are for now. It asks for questions of why. Did he break a law, did he wear a tan suit, will it stop after 20 years out of office?

I went to Denver today and had to pay $3.999 per gallon. There were a few gas stations where the cheapest gasoline was over $4 per gallon.

But it's kind of odd that in my town the price is still $3.899. If I go East, West, North or South, the price goes up.
