I bought a 2014 Prius with an upgraded package a year ago. So it has an electrical seat. But I find the electrical seat very uncomfortable because I can't put the back all the way upright like I could on my previous 2009 Prius. Yes, I can raise the seat, but that moves it forward and my legs are long, so I have to constantly lift my foot and it gives me shin pain. I would really like a manual seat. Do those exist for this year of car and can I hire someone to replace it?
The electric seats are thinner less padding if a weighted person sits in they on the motor bump pretty quick . Not a real comfortable situation
Info here: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/toyota-usa/prius/ZVW30L/13502/body/7101 seems pricey and complex. There’s 3 “schema”. yeah salvage yard, if you get lucky.
My use of the Prius requires me to move the driver's seat all the way forward and all the way back several times per day. I am always 100s of miles from home (and my tools). I worry that the seat motor is going to fail or something jammed in the track in the all the way forward, completely undrivable position. I'd love to have a manual seat. Faster too!
