Apprently all the text was stripped from my previous message, here it is: I drive a Prius 3 since 2016 (2013 model), without any problem until last July. After a trip I parked the car, the next day upon startup: "death triangle", the car would not move at all. I had the car loaded on a truck, called my local Toyota dealer (where I bought the car in 2016): you are out of guarantee, we can do nothing, don't bring us the car. I sent my Prius to a non-specific car repair, who found DTC P3004 and said that the whole hybrid system was to be replaced, not worth for a 2013 car. After much time and personal research (and some unofficial help from a friendly professional): DTC P3004-800 (over-current detected when connecting the HV battery, at precharge, from SMRP turn on). Applying the diagnostic procedure (found on internet): the inverter-converter is to be replaced. Knowing that there was some known defaults in Prius 3 inverter-converters I sent the car back to my Toyota dealer, asking for an official diagnostic. They requested a high price (>3000€) to replace the inverter, with no consideration for this being a part's default, I don't know if it was the decision from my local dealer or from Toyota France, if ever my dealer contacted them. Thanks to the unofficial help from a friendly professional again, the inverter was replaced using a second-hand part, and it worked, I can't see any difference now and before the failure (tested on more than 400km, with fuel consumption checked). It cost me less than 500€! All this took 6 months, in the meantime I had to buy another car. I dissasembled the broken inverter, and found that one IGBT was burnt (see images: IGBT 3200-2 of the bottom leg of the boost converter, this can burn only if 3100/3200 IGBTs are wrongly turned off when the coil is still charged with incoming current, programmation bug and not normal wear in any case). I like Toyota for technical reasons but I was really disappointed about the Toyota dealer and/or Toyota France, I don't think I will buy a Toyota again...
