My 2005 Prius with close to 110K miles ( Yes it is low)

I did not change the brake fluid in a very long time and when I changed it nothing was coming out of one tire. So I took it to the shop and they blew pressurized air through the system and it cleared the clog. Cost $100.

Long term lesson is change your brake fluid so you prevent water in the brake system so it does not clog or gets rust.

That's interesting from Union City California too I've never seen a Prius yet with water in the fluid I've several cars hitting 600K at close to same times. I also work on quite a few . Many or most have never been changed . But monitored for moisture . Prius has calipers and brake pistons that do not rust . So other than lines which are very modern alloy. You rarely see a Prius with rusting brake lines or any of that like you do in a Corolla. I've never seen personally I'm sure the rust belt has

That sound like a whole lot of BS.... Why would anyone blow compressed air through a brake system when the brake fluid will be at least 10x the magnitude when the brakes are applied???? The bleed fitting was most likely clogged - <$1 replacement cost, then bleed to push out any air. Worse case; wheel cylinder replacement - $100 charge would be a fair price for that work.
