    It serves neither party so it's unlikely to change until everything collapses.
    It's like getting Congress to vote for term limits - or for them to have the same Medical system that they provide to all of the regular folks. Fear of losing their seats

    I saw $4.40 a week ago but, last night, was back down to $4.19.....strange to pay $30 to fill up my Prius!

    But drove the gas guzzler today....Tundra. Will need the 4x4 for the predicted 10-inches of snow for our late-spring storm. (Not unusual for us, actually....we've seen 2 feet of snow in May before.)

    But better a snowy mess than forest fires....thanking the Good Lord for the moisture here!!!

    No, just enjoying how the voters who voted for the king wanted the hate for minorities and non-whites were going to return to the era of segregation of the 1950's.

    Just enjoy how those who hate has fate turn on them with broken promises and high prices for all essential factors affecting the cost of living.

    Holding so far at $6.099 for 89 -- hasn't budged in a few days. Little over $30 for 5 gals (half-tank on a 5G), but that 5 gals lasts almost 2 wks of daily driving. Love my Prius (y)

    The king walks down the sidewalk in front of a boarded small business outside of the White House.

    In front of his path lays an old homeless woman in rags. She looks up to the king and sadly exclaims,

    I am your economy. I've fallen, and I can't get up.

    Checking oil prices today one notices per barrel is once again below $100.
    That's got to gaul our OP - Chicken LITTLE - no end - who'd much rather have us pour endless billions into ukraine - in stead

    ..... & while we're commenting on lamenting crybabys it's worth noting the Iranian Revolution led to an energy crisis in 1979. DEMOCRAT CARTER !

    global oil supply only decreased by approximately 4%, the oil markets' reaction raised the price of crude oil over the next 12 months, more than doubling it to $39.50 per barrel, equivalent to $175 per barrel in 2025
    Some blame-fest sauce for the goose?

    Ukraine actually saved us the cost of maintaining long term stored obsolete military hardware that would have cost millions to dismantle and recycle.

    They boosted our economy with jobs for US manufacturers and financed the modernization of our military hardware.

    The whole western military infrastructure gains from the real world battle testing of untied military hardware without the casualty of any military our personnel.

    No US citizens have been sacrificed or injured in the Ukraine war.

    The Iranian war has caused us at least $100 billion, a number of dead and injured soldiers.

    And the economic loss is staggering .

    Just the facts, ma'am.

    Don’t know about the OP but my EV doesn’t care as the solar roof fully covers the local miles. As for the food that is tilled, seeded, fertilized, insecticides, harvested, processed, and delivered by diesel vehicles … nothing really changed.

    As for Ukraine, they developed their own military industries and weapons. They are becoming weapon system competitors to our often too expensive and unreliable suppliers.

    Likewise, the erstwhile Soviet satellite Eastern European states, now part of NATO were eager to get rid of their obsolete Soviet era weapons and concentrate on modernization.

    In the early 2000's they sold a lot of that which was allowed as surplus exported to the civilian market in the United States.

    That sold dirt cheap has become much more expensive sought after collector's items.

    Neither of the two responding above addressed the hypocrisy of crying about Trump's War Trump's War Trump's War - all the while - during the Carter Administration the same thing (oil shock) happened. Let me guess what The alibi is here;
    "that was then and this is now"
    or a more honest evaluation;
    "I hate most anything that has to do with conservatism"

    Did Trump go to war? Could you cite where he said we are at war?

    Did he win?

    Could Carter's degree of personal responsibility for the oil shock during his administration, and Trump's degree of personal responsibility for the oil shock during his administration, be intelligently compared?

    Anybody that knows from doing their homework that Carter was by no means a saint, & yet even so, he could have given more support during the Muslim terrorist take over of the state of Iran. Being the pacifist that he was at all cost, he chose to let the country fold into what it is - modernly. Full credit to where it belongs. Even so, thanks for the support at all cost for the modern (what it's become) leftist's party. Many Muslims chose to flee Iran to the USA during that time. The irony is many of them still had a jihadist mentality, & over the decades their children as well.
    Absolutely nothing wrong with immigration from around the world. But there's a horrible element when culture culture culture isn't taken into account as well whether it be european, Somalian, Muslim Etc
