In Europe, the Prius 5 is indeed only available as a PHEV/Prime. The Prius 4 was available as both a PHEV and a PHEV. With my Prius 5 PHEV (19-inch rims), I drive 77% EV, and the total fuel consumption is still 168 mpg (US). With a dead battery, I get (exceptionally) 78 mpg in the city and 73 mpg on country roads. On the highway, this is between 59 and 53 mpg.

How are you reading your fuel economy in miles per gallon if you live in europe?
