In June 2022 Calif average gas price was $6.43 a gallon for regular grade (J. Biden term).
In May 2026, Calif average gas price is $6.158 for regular grade (D. Trump term).

Mishaps is perhaps being taken/ understood as direct actions and not global reactions.

To clarify for our members, researching indicates the Biden‑era policy decisions interacted with global forces and amplified price pressures. Biden's administration's inability to react to these global forces and pressures caused higher gas prices.

I would define those global forces and pressures as post‑pandemic demand colliding with tight global oil supply and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, with USA domestic policy debates and gasoline refining constraints playing secondary roles.

Modernally & in the very broadest sense any group that one speaks of derogatorally - they will often call it a cult nowadays.
In a much much more reasonable sense, a cult is a group that (think Jim Jones, Hale Bopp, scientologists, David koresh etc) makes exiting difficult or even harmful. So in a sense, a handful here that are so very condemning of the "other side"? You end up being the very thing you damn the opponent of . . . . . .

The question was specifically about what Biden policies increased the price of gas. The best you is some vague policies playing a secondary role.

The rise to 2022 prices started under Trump, when he help brokered a deal to get OPEC to cut production. It was needed at the time as storage was full, and the low crude price was going to hurt the US industry, but OPEC kept the production cuts in place longer than expected.

Biggest impacts Biden made to gas prices were the sanctions against Russia for the war, and then a release from the SPR to help lower prices. These are both reactive policies to the actions of foreign governments though. Unlike today's price increase, which is solely from Trump being swayed into bombing Iran.

Some conservative groups like to blame the price back then on Biden policies for reducing pollution. But then they count a change in a refrigerant as one of those policies to do so.

Then your price from June 2022 is the peak price from one week. Today's price could be the peak if Trump somehow cleans up the Iran mess. More likely, the price will continue to rise, as the last deliveries that got through are unloaded.

This guy now, 47, is the one with mishaps. Many are swept under the rug and he gets away with it, for just two. Camp Mystic flooding, he decimated the weather service, early reports suggested people were let go who would have made a difference, not hearing a word about it since then.
Releasing billions of gallons of fresh water in the off season to Calif land that is used for farming. The water wasted. The claim fabricated was he is helping the LA fires. Totally bogus claim, and not hearing a word about it since then.
Of course there are the big mishaps like cancelling USAID, tearing down the East Wing, and starting a war with Iran solely on his orders. All done solely by him with no permission from anyone.
Another big one is expecting the SCOTUS to do his bidding. he says he appointed them so they should do what he wants. He didn’t appoint them the Senate did, represented by two Senators from each state. That’s why the Constitution says the president nominates them. It’s actually a huge mishap as it shows he does not respect the Constitution. If a word flub, waiting for him to apologize and say he didn’t appoint them. The Constitution doesn’t give the president power to appoint the justices.
