And similar to lawyers chasing ambulances, Moderna announced they are working on an mRNA "vaccine" for the hantavirus. Be sure to rush out and get that stuff injected into your body!

Only 59 people died from the virus in the Americas in 2025 while around 5,000 people died from choking just to keep it in perspective. (Around 700,000 die from heart disease.)

And I've seen two people wearing masks in public this week...sad to see folks live in such fear.

 

When my coughing was worse 10 days ago, I wore one of my high efficiency face masks at COSTCO. About 10% of the other customers were wearing masks. I carry them in my EV.

Should human-to-human transmission become a new feature, I will happily get my shot(s) or nose drops.

There is nothing to "rush out and get". They have been working on it since 2023, but any working vaccine is still a long way off.

Glad to see people suspecting they might have URIs, masking up to help reduce the risk of spreading it to the rest of us.

Masks also help people with certain seasonal pollen allergies. It is still spring pollen season around here.

 

Hantavirus took out Gene Hackman's wife who was also his caretaker leaving him on his own until he died a week later.

Covid was not a thing until it mutated or was designed into a serious "thing".

Vaccines and antibiotics are miracles of modern science.

Growing evidence is pointing to reduced dementia in our aging population who stay current in their vaccinations.

Which should be a consideration for the crowd around here.
