So over the years I've always had this idea. Relocate the hybrid battery to the rear foot well, take out the rear and passenger seats, and then build a flat surface over what remains. Trying to flip one that isn't selling well and now seriously considering this route. There are many barriers though I will attempt to discuss here:

    1. One would have to weld bars to the floor and tap them to solidly mount the hybrid battery. I would have to learn. I don't know how to weld.

    2. The high voltage wires would have to moved somewhat. They are being moved further forward so may be enough slack to make this possible?

    3. The battery fan and shrouds would have to be moved and reinstalled. Everything here is snug and purpose-built so reinstalling would be difficult. Extend the shrouds? Add auxiliary fan on the positive side of duct? on the return side? non ducted auxiliary fan addition?

    4. Payload concerns. I know from experience that if you overload a gen 2, the rear springs can break. Are there beefier shocks that fit and could be plugged in ?

    Thanks
