AMSOIL used in transmission fluid...not happy

    Thank goodness you can always go to a dealership and get a repair done then. Why, with the superior quality of dealership service, it is a wonder that this website even exists.

    The original poster is long gone months ago. However, the absurdity of claims made in this thread led directly to AMSOil doing an investigation such that they now recommend their ATL product for the Prius.

    I wanted to bump this post to see if anybody is currently running Amsoil ATL in their CVT. Is Amsoil saying on their website that ATL is good for use in a Gen2 prius?

    Bump on an old thread....
    We have owned over 6 Prius over the last 12 years and put several hundred thousand miles on and have been using Amsoil ATL in with no problems.

    Thank you for posting.
    I’ll still stay with the Toyota stuff, but good to know.
    Funny thing, last time I bought some from the dealer the parts guy tried to quiz me why I was changing a “lifetime fluid”.
