Several years ago one of the programmed keys for my 2013 Prius C was misplaced. I just found it. Of course, it does not work. I put in several new batteries and it seems like none of them work. What else do I need to do to get it to work? Do I need to sync it to my car? My car does not have a push button start system. The key works to remotely unlock and lock the doors, and of course to start the car by putting the actual key into the ignition. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get this key working? are you sure the batteries are good? are they a reputable brand? did you put them in correctly? does the key have an rfid chip?
I took the battery our of my working key snd put it into the non-working key. And my non working key worked. Then I put the non working battery back into the non working key and it is working. So now I have two working keys. Thanks for your help.
