Hi there. Wanted to see if anyone have seen this issue before? I'm having electric issues on my 2014 plug-in prius. The 12V battery is getting pull down to 5V and symptom is that of a total dead battery. Car will start with a jump pack. Car drives normal and is charging the battery at 14v. Battery is around 3 year old but still good. Battery measures 13v when disconnected from the car but 5v when connected. No check engine light on. Any help will be appreciate it.

Are you saying that when the 12v battery is connected to the car and the car is off, the battery voltage measures 5 volts?

Yes that is what's happening. Found this old thread and my car pretty much doing the same. Check my Integration relay and its blown. The last reply on the old thread was 2 year ago and its not confirm that its the fix. Integration relay keeps blowing | PriusChat

get a free load test on the 12v at most auto parts stores.

Get it tested with an electronic load tester; the as-tested CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) is likely well below spec, replacement time.

Sorry; IMHO that is NOT a fix. You've got an excessive energy draw someplace that popped that relay. You need to find the electric component that's causing the excessive current draw and replace it with an in spec unit to fix your actual problem. Replacing the battery and relay may only offer a temporary fix, but your problems will return; if you don't track down the failing electronic component. Fuses and relays are there for a reason....o_O:censored::whistle:

    Good Luck.....
