I drive in pretty much optimal conditions, so i get a very high EV range. I bought a 1 year old 2023 Prius Prime XSE Premium with 10k miles and the previous owner had an estimated EV range at full charge of 37mi when I got it. I average about 55 miles EV range, and since putting about 7k miles on the car the EV estimate now shows 47miles (when I get like 55mi). I was hoping his history would eventually roll off after maybe 10,000 miles, but I can clearly see it’s not rolling off and it’s still in the calculation. is there any way to erase or start the EV range estimate from scratch again? (I’ve already had to replace the 12 V battery twice and that didn’t reset it).
For comparison, I also have a 2021 RAV4 prime XSE that I bought new. I average about 58 miles of EV range and the dash after full charge shows 58 miles of EV range, and has even shown as high as 60 miles of estimated EV range at times.

Actually; I'd wait 5-10 full minutes to let capacitors discharge. A one minute disconnect may still retain some stuff in memory. You may have to roll your windows all the way up and down a couple of time to calibrate the sensors. If you lose all your radio presets and phone Bluetooth connection; you've done it correctly.

    YMMV

PS the car may run "funny" for a couple of days; that's normal - engine and load sensors recalibrating.

I've got a Gen 4 Prime. That is more of a dynamic value. It's only based on the last few driving cycles, and the previous owner's driving habits should already be factored out, unless you only bought it a day or two ago. At least that's the way it is for my Generation of Prime.

it is strange that replacing the batter didn't do it, and 7,000 mileshasn't done it
