Damp spring in North Alabama coincides with El Niño. Caution as a lot of ‘click bait’ is already calling it a ‘soon to be’ record. Our garden doesn’t care, it just grows like heck. Ate fresh pea pods off the plant and two tomatoes are changing green to red. This morning cool enough to pull the weeds by hand. Yesterday. Got the weeds by the fence but the’ll be back. Bob Wilson
56-inches in the rain gauge since March..... Ran sprinklers this time last year. Climate is weather. Weather is climate....... One good thing about El Niño (Super or otherwise) is that there are fewer counties reporting exceptional drought status.... https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/Data/pdf/current/current_AL_cat.pdf A better thing is the diminution of Cape Verde autumnal storms.
