apparently the range of employees went from cafeteria workers, welders, engineers all the way to managers who benefited and became millionaires..

SpaceX's record-breaking initial public offering minted over 4,400 employee millionaires, including cafeteria staff. The historic event was made possible because SpaceX historically compensated workers at all levels—from launch engineers and welders to food service staff—with equity options to offset below-market salaries. I have traditionally layered investments based on risk and possible return.
Checking account. Low return, FDIC insured, low risk.
Money Market account. Mid-low return, FDIC insured, low risk.
Short term bond fund. Mid-low return. Medium risk.
    I-Bonds. Mid return, Medium risk.
VTSAX stock fund. Mid to high mid return. High risk to capital.
Individual stocks. Mid to high returns. Highest risk to capital.

But are those risks true today given the budget deficits of the government supposedly backing some of the traditionally low risk ones?

For some well put together sarcasm based on reality, this has to worth watching
I'm not sure if it's AI generated because there are so many cuts, clearly showing editing .... but anyway, worth your time and funny bone to watch it

Have they actually sold their shares and have the actual money in their hands, or is it just paper money, or fake AI generated?
I'm a millionaire on paper, I live in a motorhome parked on the concrete slab that was once our workshop, head over every so often to check on our driveway and block of dirt that was a house with a 180* uninterrupted view of the Murray River, till it burnt to the ground with our $250,000 motorhome ...... I own 2 motorhomes and a total of 13 cars.
On paper I'm worth a fortune, in reality, I live in a motorhome I've been working on for the last 18 mths to get roadworthy so we can at least register it to drive it on the road, we have a 15 mth old MG4 EV and a 2006 Gen 2 Prius that are drivable, the rest need a workshop for me to do the body and mechanical work to get them to their potential value. The '74 VW Kombi camper is potentially and insurance valued at $800,000, or more once it is EV converted if it is show quality, two other MG4 EV with very low kms, a Jag F series V6 petrol, immaculate condition, Mercedes V6 Elegance, a Lexus GS450h and so on ..... but they are need things fixing

So, on paper, probably a few million or more, in reality, cashed out as a quick sale, not a couple of million $$ ....... At the moment, we are lucky we have a roof over out head that doesn't leak water and all the conveniences of a house, and a place to park with power and water ....

In reality, Juan Hernandez and his family most likely don't own a house and are at constant risk of being arrested and deported. The difference between paper millionaire and reality ......

And Juan likely could have had a higher wage working elsewhere.

A lot of people where also quite wealthy on October 23, 1929.

"Born in Mexico and later immigrating to the United States, Hernandez built his career through skilled trade work rather than a university engineering degree.
His path reflected the traditional American route of craftsmanship, technical skill and hard work rather than venture capital or elite technology credentials.
At SpaceX, he worked on critical launch infrastructure, helping construct and maintain the massive structures that support rockets on launch pads. Over a decade, he rose through the ranks from welder to supervisor, contributing to a company that transformed the global space industry.

    Family First
Despite becoming a millionaire on paper, Hernandez has remained grounded.
Now working at Blue Origin, the space company founded by Jeff Bezos, he says he intends to keep working rather than retire early.
He credits his immigrant upbringing for instilling a strong work ethic and views the windfall as an opportunity to help his family rather than radically change his lifestyle.
He and his wife are raising three children, aged six, 10 and 16. Hernandez has already begun teaching his children about investing and ownership.
According to CBS News, his teenage daughter already owns shares in several public companies and has developed an interest in entrepreneurship"

That's just one account.... there are at least 4,399 more chapters in this latest edition of American success stories right here, right now in addition to many more books and chapters being written elsewhere in our country every day by people.

Just for some prospective, having worked at a company that IPO'ed. Employees have a black out period and cannot sell there shares for a couple of months. By that point the stock can have decreased dramatically. Also upon being awarded the shares at IPO a certain amount is already withheld and sold to pre pay taxes for you to shelter the employee from taxes. Employees are also not high priority in the pecking order and often get diluted in multiple stages during the IPO process. So they end up receiving far less stock than you might believe.

Even Elon Musk only held his paper money Trillionaire status for a week, he back to just being a common paper billionaire now ...... I wonder if he could actually raise a million in cold hard cash, as in gold ingot stuff.

The paper million Juan might have, isn't enough to buy him a Trump citizenship card, I wonder if he is sufficiently connected with high fliers to use his paper million to swing a bank loan to buy a house ....... I hope he is wise enough to not collect his wealth in crypto $$, the crash to reality will see those who thought they were crypto rich starting to sell some of that paper money and discovering the reality of that paper bubble come crashing down ......

You can only sell dreams while people have the cash to buy into them, once the ground starts to move and people wake up from the dream, they discover they can't actually cash in on a dream, pity, I've had some incredible dreams in the past, I just have the smoke and ashes now ......

He'd have to be skinny, it's a negotiation thing at the moment with just the wife and myself because the kitchen is the choke point between the front of the house and the back of the house, 1 person standing room only ;):)

A few more Space X profiles from the many people benefiting from the success of Mr. Musk......
There are over 4000 more chapters from this book and countless other successes not being reported in other books........

Former SpaceX welder who immigrated from Mexico one of 4400 millionaires after historic IPO

"Take, for instance, launch engineer Trevor Hise, who joined SpaceX right after college. In the 12 years he’s been there, Hise has accumulated over 100,000 shares, making him worth $16 million today.
“Lavoie plans to use the funds to renovate a hotel he purchased and is considering helping others in the community transition from heating their homes with burning wood to cleaner heating source,” according to Fox Business.
“I don’t want to just die with a pile of money in the bank,” he said.

The media also spoke with 27-year-old Maryellen Musselman, who reportedly joined SpaceX in 2022 as a ship worker who’d retrieve “rocket parts from the company’s launches that splashed down off the coast of Florida.”
“Musselman used 10% of her pay to purchase additional shares during the two years she worked at SpaceX and said that while she’s unsure of how quickly she’ll look to sell, saying it’ll likely be ‘an 11th-hour decision,’” according to Fox Business.

Of course, most SpaceX employees are keeping their new fortunes to themselves. One anonymous employee told Fox Business that SpaceX’s IPO is “a beautiful thing” and that CEO “Elon [Musk] is the best.”

Asked if he feels like he’s achieved the American dream, he told CBS News that he has indeed.
“Yeah, I mean, but there’s no reason to stop,” he said.
Correct, because in the United States, there is no limit to the success one can achieve."

"Asked what he would tell Musk, Hernandez said he would thank him for expanding the realm of possibility for ordinary workers, including “the cook or electrician.”
That is not a scandal. It is the American dream."
