OMG - that is hysterical .... Thanks for suggesting a truly American alternative .... but I couldn't possibly send my little miracle car to such a fate !!! This video has helped me come to my senses and given me some great ideas for letting my friends write a farewell message on my car before I donate it..... THANKS SO MUCH

Sure you could put $3500-$4500 into it and keep motoring which is maybe six months worth of new car payments.

My take is the Corolla hybrid is the closest to an early Prius in terms of ride, mpg and lower price. A Camry is nicer with a better ride for just a little more. A new Rav4 is almost Lexus quality for more. All give you full safety features your gen2 could only dream about and could be worth the price of admission in an accident situation.
