Re-hydrating the battery modules.

    This is the reason for freeing up the pressure release mechanism, so any module venting goes outside the body work and not within the battery containment area

    I know i'm 11 years late, but yes! You can do it!
    First drill only one hole etc as said, then remove the battery case base/bottom two screws facing the back, loosen the four screws facing the front, do the pressure test to open the vent valves, drill the second hole. Then Lift the case up by lets say 2 1/2 inches. Pour the electrolyte carefully avoiding spills, seal, clean with a vinegar wetted cloth etc.
    Job done!
